While you are pushing in trying to find the release (see arrow) keep a little out pressure on the outer part of the tumbler. Once you find the release the tumbler will slide right out. With no key inserted the brass gates are not engaged.
There is a small hole (see arrow) on the main iginition housing in which you stick something like a small jeweler’s screw driver. You'll need to push the screw driver in at slightly different angles until you feel a spring loaded release catch.
Once the tumbler is out stick in whatever ski doo key you have and you'll see some of the individual brass gates stick up and some stay down depending on close of a match your key is. Now I'm a little more about the speed so once the key is in I simply grind down the gates that are sticking up. You can swap gates around and from other tumblers unitl you have them lines up.
Here you can see I've ground the gates smooth with a dremel tool. Once every thing is level recompress the release, slide in the tumbler into the main housing and you should be good to go. If the key turns a little hard pull the tumbler back out (while pushing on the release with the screw driver) and try grinding a little more. You can also use a little WD-40 on those tumblers that are stiff with age.
